A few years ago before really taking drums seriously, I'd sit in my cubicle at the radio station and think about how I could play more music while simultaneously earning enough money to live. Long story short, I emailed John Hall at Washington Talent to see if there were any opening spots for a drummer. There were none. For a year I'd periodically follow up and zip, nada, zero opportunities, until one day, there was. I went from playing maybe 10 shows a year to playing 40-50 and, that was enough so that I could finally leave the good ol' cubicle.
John Hall is the General Manager of Washington Talent, one of the biggest talent agency's in Washington, DC. He also manages 6 bands under the umbrella of his company Four Star Entertainment. He also happens to be the MD and keyboardist of my current band, Black Tie. He's one of the most knowledgeable people I know when it comes to music business and I couldn't be happier to have him on the show.
