Hello. I'd like to formally introduce myself. I'm Justin. A drummer, producer, podcast editor, podcaster, and drinker of crappy coffee. I have a cat, a dog and OMG you don't care BUT...maybe you do. In this episode of The Pocket I give you a brief overview of who I am. Yay ME!!! But more importantly we'll get into the five things I did before deciding to break free of the corporate chains to start working for myself. Hopefully if you're similar boat, these things will help you do the same. In this episode I talk about... 1. Getting your finances together. - The Total Money Makeover by Dave Ramsay 2. Setting up your website - Squarespace - Weebly - Wix - WordPress 3. Lining up a part time temporary gig 4. How to start lining up paying drum gigs for yourself 5. Making the decision to...just do it Here's an added bonus piece of inspiration below in case you need it. I really love this speech because in the end you just got to do it. No if, ands or buts. And btw, that's where I'm at in my journey with this podcast. After years of telling myself I wanted to do a podcast, I'm only just now doing it. It feels exciting and scary all at the same time but in the end, screw it! I'm jumping in head first.
